As the Data and Integration Analyst Team Lead, you will play a leadership role in overseeing the successful configuration and integration of Eon solutions with its customers and their third-party applications. Reporting to the VP of Implementations & Support, you will lead a team of analysts and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless exchange of data and interoperability between systems. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare IT, HL7/FHIR standards, and hands-on experience configuring data for complex IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Implementations, Data Science, and Customer Success, to understand integration requirements and define data mapping specifications.
  • Oversee the configuration and customization of data mappings, interfaces, and workflows to facilitate the exchange of information between Eon solutions and external systems (eg EHRs, imaging systems, laboratory systems).
  • Develop and implement integration solutions using HL7, FHIR, RESTful APIs, and other industry-standard protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and interoperability requirements.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of integration components, leading efforts to identify and resolve data discrepancies, formatting issues, and other technical challenges.
  • Gather, interpret, and normalize the client’s historical data to assist with the conversion process during deployment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation pathway to data analysts on healthcare IT integration best practices, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Document integration specifications, configurations, and troubleshooting steps, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation for reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in the assignment of resources, project planning and estimation activities, providing input on integration requirements, dependencies, and timelines.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare IT, with a focus on integration and interoperability projects; leadership experience with the ability to effectively lead/develop a team of analysts is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, including HL7 (v2.x, v3) and FHIR, with hands-on experience implementing integration solutions.
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing healthcare IT systems, with experience using integration platforms (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Corepoint) and API management tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data integration and interoperability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HL7 Certified Professional, FHIR Proficiency Certification) and experience with Epic EHR system are highly desirable.
